GRESB Section - Reporting Characteristics (RC)

This page outlines how Envizi prioritizes and collects data in preparation to send to GRESB for Reporting Characteristics. There is alignment with the Asset Level Spreadsheet so when reviewing this page it might be useful to have a copy open.

Similar to Asset Characteristics, all fields in Reporting Characteristics can be captured as a location setting, but some fields can be retrieved from other areas of Envizi if previously captured. (RC) denotes ‘Reporting Characteristics’ location setting. These location settings also change from year to year, so we have provided 2018 for reference, while 2019 and 2020 will be used in this year’s reporting.

Note that Reporting Characteristics is considered annual data and new location settings will be required when reporting next year.

Also note that the RC location settings also captures max floor areas for energy and water reporting: Base Building - Common Areas, Base Building - Shared Services, Tenant Spaces - Landlord Controlled, Tenant Spaces - Tenant Controlled.

Final Location’s Reporting Characteristics values can be reviewed on the Location Summary → Benchmark → GRESB Asset Summary page. You can review values displayed on this page before your API submissions to GRESB.
